During the court hearings connected to the matter, producers associated with Dhurandhar 2 reportedly informed the court that the film was not expected to arrive on OTT platforms before mid-May. The statement effectively offered the strongest indication yet about the film’s streaming timeline and quickly fuelled fresh speculation online.

The situation has also drawn comparisons with the release strategy followed by the first Dhurandhar film, which had arrived on streaming platforms roughly eight weeks after its theatrical debut. However, unlike the original film, which streamed on Netflix in India as well, the sequel appears to have adopted a more divided platform strategy.
