Shilpa wrote on Instagram, “Hello people!” I have COVID. Wear your mask and stay safe!- Shilpa Shirodkar. She wrote “Stay Safe” as the caption.
Fans rushed to the comments section to wish Shilpa Shirodkar a quick recovery. A lot of people congratulated her for raising awareness and told others to keep being careful in their daily lives. One person wrote, “Get well soon.” Someone else added, “Take care, Shilpa ji.”
In the last several weeks, a lot of Asian countries, like Singapore and Hong Kong, have seen a big surge in COVID-19 cases. Health officials think that the rise may be because the population’s overall immunity is getting weaker and fewer older people are getting their booster shots.
There have been a lot of instances in Singapore, with about 14,200 as of May 3. This is a 28% increase from the same time last year. In China, the number of infections is getting close to the highest levels seen last summer. In Thailand, the number of cases has gone up since the Songkran Festival in April. The Singapore Ministry of Health said in a statement, “There is no evidence that the variants that are currently circulating locally are more contagious or cause more serious illness than variants that were circulating before.”

As for Shilpa Shirodkar, she’s getting ready for the release of her next movie, Jatadhara, which will be Sonakshi Sinha’s first Telugu movie. The pan-India Telugu-Hindi supernatural fantasy thriller movie also has Sudheer Babu, Ravi Prakash, Divya Vij, and Rain Anjali in supporting parts.
Shilpa has said before regarding the movie, “Jatadhara has been a surreal experience for me.” The whole cast and crew have been very friendly and accommodating, and my experience has been great. Being in front of the camera and playing such a unique persona is really fun.
