Among the well-known stars in the film business is Bollywood actress Divya Dutta. Spanning more than three decades, the actress has shown her adaptability with every portrayal. Let’s go back to when Divya Dutta discussed her part in the blockbuster movie Veer-Zaara.

Divya reflected in a Siddharth Kannan interview about her fear of people’s attitude towards quickly stereotyping performers. Sitting at the premiere of the film clutching my mother’s hand, the diva said, Since it’s a Yash Chopra film, the entire globe would be watching it. I really liked it. Still, I was concerned I would be typecast as the best friend of every heroine in the business. Everyone chases after the one who seems excellent and leaves the others behind.

I raced away clutching my mother’s hand at the time of the movie’s intermission. Mumma claimed the show made her rather proud of me. I answered, “Thank you, Mumma; even I am enjoying being a part of this movie.” I ducked a little behind her when we stepped out. Any buddy phoning me made me not want to hear since my goal was to be a “Yash Chopra heroine.” Yash uncle spotted me and summoned me over when I was hiding there. Dutta said, “I was crowded and surrounded by the people as I approached him.”
